The way forward: visioning the new LimeTech

The past several months have seen us through a period of deep reflection and a re-envisioning of the meaning and direction for our business. We’ve navigated a major pivot into new service areas, redesigned our logo, and will soon unveil our website redesign. One of our most important projects, however, has been the creation of a new vision statement.

When crafting our vision, we worked hard to achieve the following: 

• Convey our values and aspirations using clear, simple language. 
• Communicate our commitment to creating user-friendly products. 
• Keep the focus on our work, rather than projecting an unattainable goal. 
• Address the why, or the reasons for doing what we do.

And so, without further ado, here’s the new LimeTech vision:

To help businesses grow their impact by building digital products that are human-centered and easy to use. We do this because we believe technology should work for people, their communities, and the planet we share. 

We elaborated on our vision statement by outlining our commitments:

• To design and build digital products that please users and help our clients grow their impact
• To run our business based on our values of caring for people and the planet
• To actively pursue projects that engage our creativity and original thinking
• To have fun in the midst of work, as life is short and every minute counts

As with any vision statement, we know this one will evolve. Perhaps later we’ll be ready to write something more ambitious. But for now, it’s all about simplicity, purposeful design, and serving our clients and users. That’s good enough to guide us forward.
