The new LimeTech logo, unveiled

With the launch of the new year, we’re excited to unveil our new logo, a total makeover which has been in the works for some time. Sharing this design is an important milestone, as it marks a new, fresh approach to our work.

Our previous logo, variations of which represented our brand since 2005, was looking dated. Given that our business has changed, we thought the time was ripe for a visual design refresh.

Here we do a quick review of various iterations of the LimeTech logo, and call out some of the design choices highlighted in our new look.

LimeTech Logo V.1

Our original design aimed to convey professionalism and a fresh, solutions-based approach. The logo mark featured three green limes, positioned in an array. The two elements of the brand name word mark, “Lime” and “Tech,” integrated brand colors to complement the logo mark.

LimeTech Logo V.2

In version two, the shadow was removed from the lime triad logo mark. Also, a more muted color palette was applied to the word mark, and overall document resolution was improved.

LimeTech Logo V.3

For version three, the goal was to simplify and promote easy recognition of the brand. “SOLUTIONS” was removed, reflecting LimeTech’s move toward diversification. The shades of green in the logo mark were brightened slightly to create a fresher appearance.

LimeTech Logo V.4

Version four: year 2022. We decided to toss out all assumptions about our brand and embrace something entirely new. For starters, we’ve moved away from the original interpretation of our brand by abandoning the lime green color that distinguished us in the past. Instead, we’ve chosen a bright, almost technicolor green that’s distinctive in an eye-catching way.

Design-wise, the new logo abstracts the original lime triad into a geometric shape featuring a single lime. Mirrored elements on either side of the lime convey the idea of lime leaves, giving the sense of a lime taking flight.

The geometry of the two dark lime leaves hint at the infinity symbol; this speaks to the iterative approach we apply to our work. The overall orientation of the logo mark has shifted to the right diagonal, representing the act of looking ahead. The logo mark is now positioned alongside the word mark, compacting the overall logo, a change that’s more contemporary and impactful.

Our approach to this logo update reflects our ambitious new plans for LimeTech. We’re excited to tell you more about where we’re headed, later this month.
